Rural Route One Meat is a family-run farm on Townline Road outside Mackinaw in central Illinois, built on a hog farm the family started in 1976 and selling direct since 2020. Its self-serve farm shop stocks family-raised pork and beef, including brats in flavors such as sweet Jamaican and cherry, pork sausage, chops and pork sticks, along with bundles for stocking the freezer, eggs, coffee and tea, honey, pantry goods, bath and body products and gifts. The self-serve shop is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
