Max Lee Music is a family-run music school and shop on West Lime Avenue in Old Town Monrovia, California. Max Lee, a performer, recording engineer and producer with degrees from Cal State Los Angeles and Berklee College of Music, teaches alongside classically trained violinist Tula, who has taught music in Monrovia for more than 20 years. Students of all ages take private lessons in guitar, piano, drums, voice, violin and other instruments, paying per lesson rather than monthly, with student recitals. The shop also rents, sells and repairs instruments, offers pro-audio recording and mixing, hosts art and kids' sewing classes, and runs live music events including the Monrovia Traditional Music Gathering.
